Blean RSPB Reserve
The main access to the Reserve, which lies in Church Wood just outside the northern Parish boundary, is from Rough Common. It comprises 610 acres, imaginatively managed to support a rich variety of wildlife
Since 1982, 49 species of birds have bred on the Reserve; it is also the home of the rare heath fritillary butterfly
Three circular walks start from the car park. These are waymarked and vary in length from 1 – 2.5 miles. In addition a long distance trail of 7 miles is open from February to October.
