Chairman’s Message

The Parish Newsletter is our opportunity to let you know what we are doing to protect, preserve and improve the quality of life in our Parish.

Your councillors continue to work hard, all unpaid but with great enthusiasm and professionalism and we are lucky to have them.

Following the decision in 2016 to release the Park and Ride fighting fund we have been able to spend extra money on schemes supported by residents of each village. In Upper Harbledown negotiations continue to secure the lease of the village hall, in Harbledown the railings were replaced and in Rough Common residents wanted to preserve the village green, a village sign and better facilities on the playing field. Work has already started on the Rough Common village green and we hope you will see these projects completed this year.

You may have noticed the volunteer Speedwatch teams out and about. Speeding is one of the most serious concerns expressed at our meetings and I hope more volunteers will come forward to join this group as it really does make a difference.
